Hello all my Krafty friends!!!! I am so excited to be a guest designer for the Make the Cards Challenge. I am so thrilled for the opportunity and I decided to use this amazingly cute stamp set from Sassy and Crafty named Lets Eat Cake. These completely adorable bears make so many fun card ideas.
Today’s sketch was three strategically placed hexagons on the card front and the sentiment on the bottom left. I started in Cricut Design Space creating a 5x7 card base. I started with three silver glitter cardstock hexagons at 2.5 in height. I then created three smaller blue shimmer paper hexagons at 2.25 inches in height. Lastly, I created a set of three gold true brush cardstock hexagons at 2.125 inches in height. I layered one of each color hexagon on top of each other creating three matted hexagon pieces for my card front.
I then used the text feature in Design Space to create a Friend sentiment using black everyday vinyl and a ¾ inch shadow layer with from silver glitter cardstock. I colored each of the images from the Let’s Eat Cake stamp set using copic markers on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock.
For the front and inside panels of the card I cut two 4 ½ x 6 ½ piece of foiled marble cardstock and two 4 ¾ x 6 ¾ pieces of blue shimmer paper to mat the gold foiled pieces. I then went back into Design space and created an inside sentiment on a 4 ¼ x 6 ¼ piece of Neenah classic crest solar white cardstock.
For the inside sentiment panel, I used my Misti stamping tool to stamp one of the images in the bottom right corner using versa mark dazzle frost ink and heat embossed using Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder. I adhered the sentiment panel to the gold marble and blue shimmer paper. I created a 5x7 card base using Brutus Monroe Raven cardstock and adhered my card pieces. For final bling I used some flat back rhinestones and spectrum noir sparkle pen on the card front.
