Hello all my Krafty friends!!!! Did you know that 7 Kids Craft released their October release! It is absolutely amazing and I am in love with all the fun faeries featured in the this release. For the card I created today I used the amazing Frosty Faeries Stamp set. This set includes fun faeries and tons of cute sentiments to go along.
Today I made a shaker card with an oval frame. I began my design with a 4x6 piece of Neenah classic crest solar white Cardstock. I had my Cricut cut 8 oval frames from scraps of 4x6 Cardstock to create the layers for my shaker window. I also used the crystal holographic vinyl from Cricut to cut out the final layer of the oval frame to create an overlay on the front of the card. I used my misti stamping tool, the 4x6 piece of Neenah and one of the oval frames to place my showman in position. I stamped the snowman using Gina K Amalgam ink in the opening of the frame. I used some Copic markers to shade the snowman in BG000 and BG00.
I then took some light color distress oxide in purple and blue hues along with a Simon Say stamp snowfall stencil to create a snowy background. I took a cloud stencil to create the illusion of sow underneath the snowman as a grounding affect. I took a second scrap of Neenah to stamp and color one of the faeries. I then took some Baby’s Breath glitter from Frans Glitter and More and filled in the fairy wings as well as adding some snow to the background. Once all the pieces were dry I began to assemble my shaker encasing all the shaker bits between two pieces of acetate. I then took the holographic crystal vinyl an overlay the top of the shaker element.
I used double sides tape to adhere the snowman scene to the back of the shaker card. I adhered the fairy to the front of the shaker and stamped out one of the sentiments to compliment the front panel. I layered the panel with two additional mats before adhering it to a 5x7card base.
I hope you enjoy the process and check out the video
